What is a bhajan sandhya, and how is it different from a jagran?

A bhajan sandhya is an evening sitting of devotional singing — usually two to three hours, opening with a deep and aarti and closing with shanti paath. A jagran runs overnight through to sunrise. Both are bookable here; the difference is the length and the start time you choose, and the ensemble is sized accordingly.

How many artists come, and which instruments do they bring?

Accepted Answer

The ensemble is sized to your space, typically three to eight artists. A standard mandali brings harmonium, tabla, dholak and manjira along with the singers. The exact lineup for your booking is shown before you confirm.

Question 3

Can we choose the bhajans ourselves?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this is the part most families care about. You get a suggested setlist built for your occasion, your tradition and your chosen mood, and you can replace any bhajan in it or add your family's own favourites. A set number of bhajans is included in the fee; anything beyond that is priced clearly before checkout.

Will it be too loud for a flat or a society building?

Accepted Answer

No. The sound setup is a choice, not a default. In a living room the mandali can perform acoustically with no amplification at all; for a hall or a lawn you can add a sound system sized to the venue. You pick this during booking, so nothing arrives louder than you expected.

How long does an evening run?

Accepted Answer

Most sandhyas run between one and six hours of stage time, and you set the duration during booking. An overnight jagran is booked from the 11 PM slot through to sunrise.

Which cities do you serve?

Accepted Answer

Delhi and Mumbai today, including the surrounding NCR and MMR areas. We are adding cities as verified mandalis join, so it is worth checking your date even if you are just outside.

Can we book for griha pravesh, mata ki chowki or satyanarayan katha?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Griha pravesh, mata ki chowki, satyanarayan katha, sundarkand path, naamkaran, wedding sangeet, birthdays, anniversaries and shraddhanjali sittings are all bookable, and each one loads a different suggested setlist and pace.

Question 8

Do you bring the sound system, or should we arrange it?

Accepted Answer

We bring it if you want it. Sound is offered as an add-on during booking, sized to your venue, and priced on the quote like everything else. If you already have a system in the hall, leave it off and the mandali will use yours.

Question 9

Which languages and traditions can the mandali sing in?

Accepted Answer

Hindi is the core repertoire, with Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil and other traditions available depending on the mandali. Set your tradition during booking and the suggested setlist rebuilds in that language, keeping the bhajans your family actually knows.

How much advance do we pay, and can we reschedule?

Accepted Answer

You pay a percentage of the total as advance to hold the date, and the balance after the aarti. The exact advance is shown on your quote before you pay. Rescheduling is free up to 72 hours before the sandhya.

Question 11

Do you perform at offices and corporate events?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Office floors, corporate campuses and co-working spaces are all bookable venues, and are a common choice for Diwali puja, Vishwakarma puja and inauguration sittings. Pick the office venue during booking and the ensemble and sound are sized for it.
